Artist's Comments

My present to you all for 2000 hits. :D Many happy returns.

Sorry for not being around much, but alas. School has started and my schedule is pretty full with classes, lab work and tutoring. I even have class on Friday mornings. Ugh.

This took me about 9 hours to complete, from taking the photos to photoshopping them all into one picture. I started out thinking I was just going to have two me's, then I bumped up to a third, and at one point I even had four, but that was a bust, so I went back to three. I think it worked out for the better.

I didn't really have much of a plan with this one, other than that I wanted to convey different characters. It is inspired by a b/w photo I saw randomly while surfing the net. The original starred two male models, one peeking over the shoulder of the other, seemingly whispering in his ear. I started off with that initial picture in my head, but then I added an extra character and also decided that color looked better (gasp!).

And just to clarify, yup, all three of the characters are me. I imagined the following conversation happening in the picture:
Short hair: "Do you think she can see us?"
Red: "Only one way to find out."
Glasses: *Does not want to turn around.*

I kind of thought of it like an imaginary friend/foe kind of scenario, but it also reminds me of my day to day situation. You see, I have about five stories that I am constantly thinking about and sometimes writing, and whenever I have a spare moment I think about what those characters would or should be doing, what they would say, how they would react... that sort of thing. I end up with catty one liners, (very) personal attacks, random wisdom for how to live life, blood... you name it. So that's my party, all day, part of the night, whenever. My characters are always with me and they are not always a very quiet bunch.

Then again, the characters in this pic could also be some of the different facets of my personality...

Oh, and this is the first photo of me with glasses that I've posted on DA. *Special moment*. I'm a glasses person... not so into contacts. No matter how many days I wear contacts in a row, I always blink 549804892 times when I try to put the lenses in...

Enjoy, and please comment!

Thanks. :D I am very proud of this pic.
And now I need to go stretch or something... sitting for that many hours straight is sure to give me some kind of physical if not mental problem.

Very cool, you did the blend very well, even behind the hairs :D You can definitely feel the "multiple personalities" trait of the photo very well. Great job and yay for your hits, here's to another 2000+ more! :+favlove:

This road takes me to a place where I have yet been. A place where I can start a new journey with those around me and not worry about anything in my way.
:iconjrscheung:
Yay, thank you for the support (and compliments). :D :D
